Started in Phoenix/AZ as 3-piece called The Gnomes, who covered Back From The Grave tunes and wrote a couple originals. They played Blue-eyed Soul/British R&B, Dutchbeat & Northwest Frat Rock from 1997-2000 under the name Van Buren Wheels ... Van Buren Street was known for years as Phoenix's center for drugs, prostitution, cheap motels and illegal street activity in general.Four out of five of the Wheels were heroin addicts at various times....this is why they called it a day in 2000. However here is a compilation of their best high-energy fuelled Frat Rock / Garage songs.
