Jah Faith’s powerhouse debut single for the Jandisc label. This deejay version of Sangie Davis’ ‘SHE SHE MANE’ produced by J Bonner, kicked off a new run of success for the ace deejay. ‘BUN A ONE’ took on a life of it’s own as ganja anthem of sorts when first released in late 2007. Faithy delivers a dread but upful chant commanding all to take a break, sit down, and burn one. “Come bun a one. Sit dung, hold a meditation. Talk about Mt. Zion.” The Black Emeralds put down a blazing rhythm for this foundational reggae cut. On the flip is a strong version of ‘BUN A ONE’ by the Black Emeralds with trombone blasts by Tom Cook showing that this tune can hold it’s weight as a superb instrumental as well.
