In 1970, Freddie Terrell & Blue Rhythm Band released the perfect crossover soul track "You Had It Made", written with soul legend Herman Hitson. The piece never made it beyond his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, and became a highly sought-after, rare original, which is now being re-released for the first time. Charles Williams was also from Georgia and moved to Finland in the 1970s. In 1975 he released his debut album, the socially critical "Love Is A Very Special Thing", which featured the groundbreaking single "Standing In The Way". With its loose, soulful, jazzy groove, it captured the imagination of the British scene and remains a mid-tempo favorite to this day.
